Purpose

This page explains how TaskScape handles third-party content (including game data, images, names, and trademarks) and how rights holders can report concerns.

Important Notice

TaskScape is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd.

Old School RuneScape, RuneScape, and related names, logos, and game assets are trademarks and/or copyrighted content of Jagex Ltd. and their respective owners.

Data Sources

TaskScape may use publicly accessible game-related data (for example, hiscores and wiki-derived metadata) to provide goal-tracking functionality.

We aim to:

  • Request only the data needed for user-facing features.
  • Cache data where appropriate to reduce repeated requests.
  • Respect source systems and avoid abusive request patterns.

Images and Media

TaskScape may display images sourced from third-party sites or game-adjacent resources. Rights for those assets remain with their original owners and licensors.

We do not claim ownership of third-party assets unless explicitly stated.

User Responsibility

If you reuse content surfaced by TaskScape (such as images or text), you are responsible for confirming license terms and obtaining any permissions required for your own use.

TaskScape Trademark and Brand

The TaskScape name, logo, and brand presentation are used to identify this product and service.

You may not use TaskScape branding in a way that causes confusion, implies endorsement, or misrepresents ownership.

Reporting IP Concerns

If you are a rights holder and believe content in TaskScape infringes your rights, contact:

support@taskscape.app

Please include:

  1. Your name and contact details.
  2. A description of the work, brand, or mark you own.
  3. The specific TaskScape URL(s) and material in question.
  4. Why you believe the use is unauthorized.
  5. Supporting documentation (for example registrations or source links).
  6. A statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith.

Takedown Process

After receiving a complete notice, we may:

  1. Acknowledge receipt.
  2. Temporarily disable or remove the reported material while reviewing.
  3. Request additional detail if needed.
  4. Notify relevant parties where appropriate.
  5. Decide whether to remove, restore, or keep material based on available information.

Incomplete or abusive reports may be rejected. Repeated bad-faith submissions may be ignored.

If your content was removed and you believe that removal was incorrect, you may reply with counter-information and supporting evidence.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page.
