Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 20, 2026

This policy explains TaskScape's use of cookies and similar browser storage.

1. Cookies We Use

TaskScape uses essential authentication/session cookies through Better Auth.

These cookies are used to:

  1. Keep you signed in.
  2. Protect sign-in and callback flows.
  3. Authorize requests to authenticated endpoints.

If these cookies are blocked, login and signed-in features may not work correctly.

2. Cookies We Do Not Use

TaskScape does not use advertising cookies or cookies for ad profiling.

3. Local Storage and Similar Browser Storage

TaskScape also uses browser local storage for limited UI behavior.

Current use includes:

  • Persisting which XP/KC sync toast notifications have already been shown, to reduce repeated toasts.

This is separate from cookies and does not store your full account/app state.

4. Analytics and Performance Telemetry

TaskScape includes Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for usage/performance telemetry.

These services are used to understand app reliability and performance, not for advertising profiles.

5. Managing Cookies and Stored Data

You can:

  1. Sign out to end the active session.
  2. Clear cookies in your browser.
  3. Clear site storage (including local storage) in your browser.

Clearing browser data signs you out but does not automatically delete server-side account/app records.

6. Deleting Account and App Data

To permanently remove server-side account and app data:

  1. Open the profile menu.
  2. Select Delete all user and app data.
  3. Confirm the action.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is published on this page.
